Ski Les Arcs and Paradiski
The skiing area is built around four purpose-built centres (Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 2000 and the newly constructed Arc 1950) from which most of the lifts radiate. Many old villages and hamlets are accessible, with an excellent range of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Our chalets are situated at Les Granges, near the intermediate stop on the Arc-en-Ciel funicular to Arc 1600 (taking 3 minutes). You can ski back to Les Granges down a variety of runs through forests and meadows. The neighbouring ski area of La Plagne is linked to Les Arcs by the new Vanoise Express cable car, the largest in the world. La Plagne is an equally large domain, spread over an enourmous area. It includes the awesome Bellecote glacier, miles of lift-served off-piste as well as numerous pistes to suit all abilites. The stunning descent to Champagny, in the Bozel valley opposite Courchevel, is a must for skiers with stamina! La Plagne is built around several resort centres, each offering an excellent choice of coffee and lunch stops. The 'Paradiski Decouverte' lift pass which
gives a days skiing in La Plagne, and a day in one of the other Espace
Olympique resorts (Val D'Isere, Tignes, Les Trois Vallees, etc.). Click here for details of group ski leading programme Read what people say about skiing at Les Arcs, from GoSki Last updated: November 30, 2006 |
