What's Arc 2000 like?
Arc
2000 is the highest of Les Arcs resorts, at the foot of the
high Arc valley which is dominated by L'Aguille Rouge, the
highest peak in the ski area. You can ski from the top, 3200m,
over the Varet Glacier all the way to Villaroger (1200m),
giving 2000m of vertical descent and the one of the longest
pistes in the Alps (9 km).
There are also plenty of wide, snowsure easy blue and red
slopes which are ideal for intermediates and children and
beginners. There virtually never any queues for network of
state-of-the-art high-speed chairlifts and gondolas. The Arc
valley offers safe and easily-accessed terrain that is ideal
for trying out or improving off-piste skills. From Arc 2000
is is easy to get to other parts of the ski area, including
Peisey-Valandry and the Vanoise Express lift to La Plagne.
At this altitude snow is never a problem and the open-bowl
of the valley is a natural suntrap. There are some superb
restuarants, both in the villages on on the pistes (including
the legendary Chalet de l'Arc, often described by or guests
as the 'best mountain restaurant in the world'). Arc 2000
and 1950 have several excellent ski schools and great facilties
for learners.
Within the resort villages of Arc 2000 and the new traditional-style
Arc 1950 (linked by a pedestrain lift that runs 'till late
at night) there are a wide range of shops, supermarkets, cafés
and nightlife hotspots. An programme of free aprés
ski 'animations' means there is always something going on,
including sleigh-rides, fireworks, music, marshmallow toasting.
There's also a lift-served tobogan park and natural ice-skating
rink.

What's Le Chamois like?
This chalet-styled apartment sit between Arcs 1950 and Arcs
2000 in the heart of Paradiski in the French Alps. There are
gorgeous views from almost every window with balconies looking
out over mountains, trees and pistes. With 3 double/twin bedrooms,
and a shower/bathroom to almost bedroom, it offers the best
in mountain luxury to say the least.
The furnishings are faithful to alpine living and the fireplace
gives a really cosy authentic feel. Apartments like this in
1950 (which incidentally is now linked by the Cabriolet cable
car until late into the night) can cost up to 50% more!
In the apartments you will find everything you need to relax
after a hard day on the slopes. The kitchens are fully equipped
with dishwasher, microwave, hob and oven and all the utensils
you are likely to need. Theres a large LCD TV with Dolby
surround sound system and DVD/CD player. Youll also
find some DVDs, music, games and paperbacks, but we encourage
guests to bring their own as well.
We can also include a rollaway bed in case you want someone to sleep
in the living area also.
