Food and Drink
first-class chalet catering
At Ski Adventures good food is as important as good skiing. We aim to use locally produced ingredients wherever possible to produce tasty, wholesome meals served in a convivial atmosphere. Dinner is something we all look forward to, and each morning the evening's menu is chalked up in the dining room.

Vegetarians, vegans and other dietary requirements can be catered for. Here are a is a typical menu:

Melanzane parmigianno

Selection des fromages
Cheese selection from various regions of france
Mousse au chocolat
with white chocolate snow and a pair of mini ski poles
Café, Thé

AC Bottled red and white wine is served with the meal, and water and soft drinks are also available.

We have become 'famous' for our cheese courses; during the week you will be able to try about 20 cheeses, always served with informal but knowledgeable explanations. Here are a few of our favourites:

Morbier
A creamy cow's milk cheese from Franche-Comte.
Munster
A strong, creamy cheese that ripens from the inside out.
Bleu d'Auvergne
A traditional farmhouse blue cheese
Roquefort
Milk from specially bred sheep is used and is ripened in limestone caverns.
Fourme d'Ambert
A mild blue, one of France's oldest cheeses.
Coulommiers
Brie's little brother, made from cow's milk
St Felicien
Mild curd cheese from cows or goats
St Paulin
Soft cow's milk cheese originally made by Trappist monks

plus many more to try!

Breakfast consists of a selection of cereals, yoghurt, bread, jam, honey etc. and a daily cooked dish, such as scrambled, boiled or fried eggs. Tea, coffee and fruit juice are available.

Afternoon tea is available on a 'self service' basis, and includes a freshly baked cake, scones, etc with tea, coffee and sof-drinks.

Beers, mixers, champagne, local quality wines, snacks and sweets are available from our self-service Chalet Minibar at very reasonable prices. We can obtain most drinks on request.

Chalet night off
Once a week the chalet staff take a well-earned break, giving guests the chance to try one of the many local restaurants. We can offer suggestions, make reservations of your behalf and arrange transport. Many types of cuisine are on offer, ranging from excellent wood-oven pizzas to traditional Savoyard fayre and serious gastronomy. Please note that guests are not permitted to use the chalet kitchen (for insurance and operational reasons), but crockery and cutlery may be used for bought-in food provided chalet staff know in advance

Wine and Cheese Tasting

One evening a week guests will have the chance to try a selection of wines and cheeses from the Savoie region, in which we are located. The local wines range from the very dry Apremont to the distinctive red Mondeuse, and Beaufort, Reblochon and Tomme cheeses are never more delicious then when tasted so close to their place of origin.
